I was first introduced to Pointers in 1987 when I answered an ad for an English Pointer dog. His name was ARISTA FABIOUS lovingly known as Fabs. A year later I went to live Brisbane and Fabs was to follow me over, this did not happen. He was so settled we decided he would not make the trip. Upon my return Fabs was well and truly happy and so was Dad so this led me to get my second Pointer. I returned to Arista Kennels and acquired a bitch, CH.ARISTA JOILET. The rest is history I was well and truly hooked and little did I know that Joilet would become my foundation bitch. Joilet was mated to NZ GR.CH.ARISTA BRANDON and with that CH.ARISTA BRANDON'S JANZARA was born. When Zara came to me I decided to join the show ring. Zara's show career earned her multiple In Show & Group awards and was a wonderful companion. My next edition to the family was ARISTA FARANI and again he went on to win In Show awards and Groups along with one of my other dogs at the time NZ CH.ARISTA TIRO-TRUE. Tiro’s progeny include AUST & NZ CH ARISTA TRUE DEEGAN (IMP NZ) who came with me to Perth and then went on to reside in Canada in 2006, his sister NZ CH ARISTA TRUE DEVANA remained in New Zealand after some very nice achievements in the ring. From Zara's and Rani's litter they produced ARISTA KATE'S JEMA, Jema was mated to Deegan and they have produced some lovely Pointers including AUST CH ARISTA JEMA'S TRUE CASANOVA. Early in 2003 my family and dogs relocated to Perth, Western Australia and we have had great success in the ring. Along with the Arista Kennel name in New Zealand I have also taken on the Arista Kennel name in Australia . Over the past three years in AustraliaI have enjoyed numerous wins with my show team, AUST CH ARISTA JEMA’S CASSANOVA, AUST CH ARISTA SHELSEA TRUE & AUST & NZ CH ARISTA TRUE DEEGAN. Arista Pointer whom is enjoying great success in is Australia is AUST CH ARISTA SHAVON TRUE aka Flynn, litter mate to Shelsea. Flynn is proudly co-owned and campaigned by Joseph & Renata Mirto in NSW. Casanova’s sister AUST CH ARISTA JEMA’S TRUE CHAMONIX has produced a stunning litter and from her litter I have retained Fugelere Treu Avanel. Last but certainly not least we are very proud to bring to The Pointers of Arista… CALDERSIDE PIPER OF ARISTA (IMP UK). Piper will be a great asset to our breeding program and compliment the lines we have had in the past from England .


On a personal note and to extend my knowledge I have embarked on training to become a Group 3 (Gundogs) confirmation judge which I am enjoying immensely.
